STATS - SKILL - STYLE In Queen of Dark, combat is based on three key elements: your level, your ability to dodge, parry and so on, and your playstyle when facing a battle – whether you choose to be more aggressive or defensive, or prioritise magical or ranged attacks. ENEMIES All combat mechanics affect both players and the AI, as each enemy has different stats, reaction times and probabilities, and a unique playstyle, making every battle a challenge that requires different strategies. But it’s not just the players who adapt; the AI also adapts dynamically, ensuring that every battle feels fresh. WORLD The kingdom of Arzamor has been invaded by the armies of Soletania thanks to an ancient power, the Agma Ofium, which causes the gods to become mortal; this has led to dark demons re-emerging and unleashing creatures from the ancient world. Without the protection of the gods, the world has become a hostile wasteland where humans have been forced to flee their homes or fight wars they could not win. The gods have bestowed power upon a handful of knights to reclaim the lost territories and find the Agma Ofium to restore order. EQUIPMENT Find or seize equipment and weapons from your enemies, and maintain a varied arsenal to ensure your survival and allow you to adapt to different challenges. Obtain minerals from ore deposits or enemies, and upgrade your weapons at the forges you’ll find throughout the world.
