The last kingdom rallies around Aldrick, a mercenary leader promoted to lord by the deaths of all the nobles he used to serve. At the head of the last bastion of humanity, it's his role to rally the survivors, defend against the hordes, and turn a sea of ruins into the heart of a new empire.
